Dispute Resolution Update
A respondent disrupted arbitration proceedings by threatening the arbitrators. After collecting fees from the claimant, the American Arbitration Association – International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR) administratively dismissed the proceeding before a hearing and without issuing an award. The result effectively deprived the claimant of the negotiated dispute resolution forum and any hearing on his claim.
