Donald Fox appointed to committee of experts by U.S. Institute of Peace

On the basis of his experience with Constitution making processes in Hungary and Colombia, Donald Fox was appointed to a committee of experts by the U.S. Institute of Peace, an organization funded by the U.S. Congress.  The committee studied the procedures by which Constitutions were adopted in 23 countries transitioning to democracies after civil strife.  Fox participated in panels reporting on Nicaragua, Venezuela, and Columbia and is a co-author of “Framing the State in Times of Transition” (ed. Miller/Aucoin) published by USIP in one volume and available online at www.usip.org.

Recent Board appointments include The Enders Foundation, which funds Canadian studies and The President’s Council of INCAE, the Central American School of  Business Administration.

Current professional responsibilities, in addition to continuing corporate clients, include guiding Latin American inventors in projects ranging from petroleum recovery techniques to a medical device to reduce cardiac insufficiency and organizing a joint venture between the Open Medical Institute of Salzburg, Austria and the Childrens’ Hospital of Philadelphia to provide specialist training for pediatric doctors in Latin America.
