Immigration

Our clients regularly require assistance in connection with business immigration matters, such as obtaining appropriate nonimmigrant visas for transferring foreign national executives or managerial employees of the client’s group of companies to their offices in the United States or for the hiring by domestic or international businesses and financial institutions of talented nonresident aliens for their U.S. businesses.  Our firm provides legal advice and services in connection with obtaining treaty trader and treaty investor visas (E-1 and E-2), intracompany transferee visas (L-1), and visas for nonresident aliens in specialty occupations (H1-B).  We also assist our clients in obtaining permanent residence status through investment in a U.S. business (EB-5) or on the basis of their extraordinary ability in their field (EB-1).

Through our extensive global network of foreign correspondent firms, we are also able to assist our clients in transferring U.S. employees to their foreign subsidiaries and affiliates.

We advise also on naturalization and loss of nationality matters, and on the renunciation of U.S. citizenship or permanent residence, both from a U.S. immigration and a tax perspective.
